East China’s Jiangsu province will delegate provincial examination and approval power for 273 administrative items to the free trade zones in Nanjing, Suzhou and Lianyungang to give the FTZs greater reform autonomy.
The 273 provincial administrative items involve 27 provincial-level departments including the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Provincial Public Security Department, covering project investment, commercial registration, education, and pharmaceuticals managements.
In addition, the Provincial Government Affairs Office will also coordinate Nanjing, Suzhou, and Lianyungang to develop a municipal and county-level empowerment list to promote the establishment of an efficient, convenient, and high-quality administrative approval system in the three pilot free trade zones.
