Suzhou Library (No.858 Renmin Road) and Suzhou No.2 Library (No.2383 Guangji North Road) continued to resume opening starting July 14. Meanwhile, Taohuawu Woodblock New-Year Picture Exhibition and I. M. Pei Document Exhibition will be staged at Suzhou No.2 Library. Welcome to the exhibitions!
1 Suzhou Taohuawu Woodblock New-Year Picture Exhibition
Time: July 14 to August 30, 2020
Venue: Exhibition Hall, 4th Floor, Suzhou No.2 Library
Suzhou Taohuawu Woodblock New-Year Picture (苏州桃花坞木刻年画) is a national-level intangible cultural heritage. Over 50 woodblock new-year pictures dated back to the late Qing Dynasty (A.D.1636-1912) are on display at the exhibition.
Besides, visitors are able to make the woodblock new-year pictures by themselves under the instruction of teachers. There are also professional tools available for the experience.
Experience time: 7pm to 8pm every Friday and Saturday from July 17 to August 1, 2020
2 I.M. Pei Document Exhibition
Time: July 15 to December 31, 2020
Venue: Design Library, 5th Floor, Suzhou No.2 Library
I.M. Pei is a world-known architect and the offspring of anillustrious family in Suzhou. The exhibition will display Pei’s school-day works and the models of his five masterpieces including Louvre Pyramid, East Building - National Gallery of Art (US) and Bank of China Tower. There are also a variety of manuscripts, letters, certificates of graduation, images and videos on show.

9am to 11am, 1pm to 5pm from Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday (closed on Monday unless on statutory holidays; under disinfection from 11am to 1pm)
9am to 11am, 1pm to 9pm on Friday, Saturday and statutory holidays
Note: Reading Room for the Blind and 24-hour Library are not yet open.
Points for attention
1. There is no requirement for reservation at the reading rooms for adults (excluding Digital Technology Room and Music Library), but reservation is required for Children’s Library.

(http://sztsg.szlib.com/Booking/?pid=26) or WeChat Public Account (gh_18ef61902097). When the online reservation is full, you can also register at the entrance to the library.
2. Show your personal health code (Suzhou Health Code or Jiangsu Health Code in green) and cooperate with body temperature check. Keep your face mask on as you stay in the library.
