China’s Jiangsu province called for efforts to promote civilization practice in the new era at a meeting held Thursday in Yixing, a county level city in the south of the province. Ren Zhenhe, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee, addressed the event.
Ren Zhenhe pointed out that the construction of the new era civilization practice center is an important measure to consolidate the party’s ruling foundation and the party’s ruling position in order to adapt to social changes, better meet the new expectations of the people for a better life, create a harmonious and stable social environment, and help with Jiangsu’s high-quality development.
Ren urged regional governments and departments to enhance their political stance, take more solid measures to promote the construction of the new era civilization practice center, arm their minds with theory, carry forward the new fashion of the times, delegate service resources to the grassroots communities, promote cultural development and provide the people with the most needed and more considerate service.
Ren Zhenhe emphasized that to strengthen the construction of the civilization practice center in the new era, it is necessary to accelerate the formation of an innovative and pragmatic work pattern, carry out practical exploration in accordance with local conditions, highlight local characteristics, trengthen the demonstration effect, encourage the active participation by all people, and truly make the civilization practice center of the new era into a livelihood project and a pro-people project.
