According to statistics from the big data monitoring platform of China’s State Post Bureau, over 660 million postal packages have been collected and delivered in the nation during 2021’s Chinese New Year holiday, a year-on-year increase of 260%.
Statistics show that the rise of China’s postal service during holiday resulted from the increase of supply and demands of “Stay at Home Economy”. Express service industry was kept at high capacity during the holiday; the amount of collected packages were approximately 3 times as much as in the same period last year, while the delivery amount almost quadrupled. In terms of regions, middle China is the fastest in growth of package collection and delivery, growing by 359% and 260% respectively. The growth rate of package processing has also exceeded 300% in provinces including Henan, Jiangxi, Guangdong and Zhejiang.
