With the new semester approaching, Jiangsu is ready to make greater efforts to deepen reform and innovation on education. More powerful talent support and intellectual support for Jiangsu are expected to make the province an example and a demonstration.
To ensure that the province's education reform and development in the "14th Five-Year Plan" have a good start, all localities in Jiangsu should conscientiously implement the decisions and plans of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, and speed up the construction of a high-quality education system.
At the first meeting after the Spring Festival, Taizhou focused on establishing a satisfactory education system for the people. It is supposed that education should have excess to the best resources and be supported by the strongest reform. This year, Taizhou will come up with more than 11 million yuan and launch 18 measures to solve the city's educational resources supply, team building, quality improvement and other issues.
By 2025, Taizhou will build over 200 primary and secondary schools (including kindergartens), with the proportion of four-star ordinary high schools reaching over 75%. The total amount of schools in every district will meet the requirements of the provincial educational standard. In addition, Taizhou will further innovate the teacher supplement mechanism, improve the talent reward policy, and make the city’s education development the top priority of Taizhou.
This year, Nanjing will work on reducing burdens and improving family education guidance mechanism. By 2025, Nanjing will maintain the highest level of educational modernization in Jiangsu province.
As a national "smart education demonstration zone," Suzhou will make use of new generation information technologies such as 5G and VR to create the "classroom of the future" and promote fairer and more efficient education.
Suqian City will vigorously promote the construction of high-quality high schools, so that children could enjoy high-quality education at home; Huai'an plans to introduce more than 50 expert-level teachers and principals and to establish 41 famous educator studios. Changzhou will deepen the reform and innovation of vocational education, establish a more convenient education system for children in high schools, vocational schools and technology schools.
The reporter learned from the provincial education department that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the province will promote the construction of modern education with high standards. 1,000 kindergartens, 800 compulsory education schools and 300 ordinary high schools will be built, rebuilt and expanded, and the gross enrollment rate in higher education is about 65%. The province will also improve a balanced allocation mechanism for basic public education resources and gradually narrow the gap between regions, urban and rural areas and between schools.
