At the beginning of the year of the Ox, the demonstration area in the Yangtze River Delta revs up for new opportunities and further development. On the “Major Projects Matchmaking Meeting” held on Sunday, 65 major projects focused on the integrated development pattern, and led the construction of a comprehensive demonstration zone into a new phase.
Among the 65 major projects, 12 are interconnection projects, 10 are ecological and environmental protection projects, 17 innovative development projects and 26 public service projects, covering areas of public concern such as interprovincial road connectivity, innovative industrial layout, public health care and high-end education facilities construction.
In terms of inter-provincial road connectivity, preliminary research work will be accelerated on Kunshan-Wujiang-Jiashan Expressway in 2021. In terms of public medical facilities, the construction, renovation and expansion of hospitals will be accelerated. In 2021, the demonstration zone has also scheduled 57 key tasks to speed up the construction of key projects, and carry out research on major issues. At present, the Executive Committee of the demonstration area has formulated a three-year action plan, and will actively introduce market forces to enable enterprises.
