Recently, a series of transportation construction projects have been planning in advance to arrange schedules, in order to implement the construction of high-quality projects at a high speed.
At the construction site of the Yangtze River Tunnel at Jingjiang, Jiangyin, staff are seizing opportunity of favorable days for construction. The tunnel is located between Jiangyin Bridge and Taizhou Bridge, with a total length of about 11.8 kilometers, in which the part crossing the river is about 6.4 kilometers long. The project adopts two-way six-lane expressway standard, with a total investment of about 14.15 billion yuan. In order to ensure the successful application of the shield machine, the key equipment for the construction, more than 200 workers stayed at the construction site during the Spring Festival. It is reported that the tunnel is expected to be the second longest Yangtze River tunnel in China, and the shield-structure tunnel will withstand a maximum water pressure of about 82 meters, being the underwater tunnel with the largest cross-section and the highest water pressure in China. The tunnel is planned to be available for traffic in 2025.
At the construction site of Changzhou Section of Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou Expressway, 800 to 1000 meters of progress is made per day on each lane. The expressway is an important traffic infrastructure in the Yangtze River Delta region. The Changzhou section is 20.5 kilometers long, with six lanes in both directions and a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The project was initiated in 2018, and as of February this year, the Changzhou section has completed a cumulative investment of about 4.317 billion yuan, accounting for 78% of the approved budget estimate.
