Since the start of 2021, Suzhou section of China-Europe Railway has been operating with high loads. In the first two months, the number of trains and the value of goods had a significant year-on-year growth, guaranteeing import and export transportation for enterprises.
In the warehouse of Suzhou International Railroad Logistics Center, operators are skillfully driving forklifts and packaging goods. Since the Spring Festival, it’s been busy here every day.
Statistics show that from January to February this year, 60 trains traveled on Suzhou China-European Railway, carrying 2520 40-foot containers, with 32,200 tons of cargo and a value of 287 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of over 100% respectively. Since the start of the Railway, Suzhou has actively strengthened cooperation with the railroad administration to make it one of the major international trade channels in Jiangsu. At present, the railway has connected more than 30 countries and regions in Asia and Europe, and is fully committed to undertake the transfer of cargo by sea and air, becoming a widely recognized "guarantee line" for the import and export of enterprises resuming work and production under the epidemic.
