Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu, met Thursday in Nanjing with Zhang Jianhua, member of the National Development and Reform Commission's Party Leadership Group and Director of the Energy Administration.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, Wu Zhenglong thanked the National Energy Administration for its long-term care and support for Jiangsu's economic and social development, and conveyed the greetings of Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
He said that high-quality development is inseparable from reliable energy supply, adding that Jiangsu is a large energy consumer but a small energy supplier.
He hoped that the National Energy Administration would give Jiangsu more guidance and support in promoting carbon peak emission, carbon neutrality and energy security and structural adjustment of offshore wind power and other renewable energies so as to jointly make greater contributions to China's overall economic and social development.
Zhang Jianhua said that Jiangsu enjoys sound economic and social development through its vigorous and effective energy work.
The National Energy Administration will play a good role in its functions, strengthen overall coordination, and fully support Jiangsu in ensuring energy supply and structural adjustments, and promote Jiangsu's high-quality development and green and low-carbon development to a new height.
