China Pharmaceutical University and Jiangning District High-tech Zone of Nanjing have joined hands to launch an original pharmaceutical technology innovation research institute. The launch ceremony was held Tuesday in Nanjing.
Han Liming, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, attended the launch ceremony. The Original Pharmaceutical Technology Innovation Research Institute will integrate the resources of China Pharmaceutical University and Jiangning High-tech Zone, explore new models and new paths for school-site integration and development, create a domestic first-class and internationally leading new drug innovation ecosystem, and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and the development of industrial clusters. These innovations will enhance Nanjing's pharmaceutical innovation capabilities, produce a number of innovative drugs with independent intellectual property rights and leading technology, and attract large domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies and high-end talents to settle in "Jiangning Pharmaceutical Valley."
