Yuandang Pedestrian Bridge, a 585.7-meter-long footbridge that links Qingpu District, Shanghai and Wujiang District, Suzhou, is at its prettiest now.
Apart from connecting together the wetland landscapes and round-the-lake green belts, the bridge also vitalizes the eco-tourism resources on both banks and people-to-people exchanges and has become the latest internet-famous site.
As a joint effort by Jiangsu and Shanghai, the footbridge has been the first infrastructure project connecting roads across provinces since unveiling of demonstration zone for integrated green development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
