East China’s Jiangsu province will step up its efforts for the transformation of advanced technological achievements in a bid to provide strong support for the Yangtze River Delta region's technological and industrial innovation frontiers and China's high-level technological independence and self-reliance, according to a meeting on the transformation of advanced technological achievements held Sunday in Suzhou city.
The meeting on the transformation of advanced technological achievements was co-sponsored by the National Defense Science and Industry Bureau, the Ministry of Finance, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and the Jiangsu Provincial Government.
Governor Wu Zhenglong attended the meeting. Among the leaders addressing the meeting were Zhang Kejian, director of the National Defense Science and Industry Bureau, Wang Shunian, deputy director of the Office of the Central Military-Civilian Integrated Development Committee, and Xu Kunlin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee.
With a view to understanding the new development stage, acting on the new development philosophy and accelerating the establishment of the new development paradigm, the transformation of advanced technological achievements will definitely accelerate the efficient transformation and application of advanced technologies in multiple fields, and inject strong momentum into the high-quality economic and social development and the creation of high-quality lives for the people, according to a statement released after the meeting.
The government of Suzhou and the relevant ministries and commissions under the State Council signed an agreement on the joint construction of the Yangtze River Delta Transformation Center of Advanced Technology Achievements, and the cooperation on the transformation of the first batch of achievements.
Wu Zhenglong, Zhang Kejian, and Wang Shunian inaugurated the transformation center and incubation base.
They also went on an inspection tour in the Yangtze River Delta International R&D Center and the exhibition on the transformation of the first batch of achievements.
