Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, called for efforts to strengthen regular epidemic prevention and control and promote social and economic development. He made the remarks when going on an inspection tour in Yangzhou city on Wednesday.

When visiting Yangzhou Sanwan Ecological and Cultural Park, Lou Qinjian asked about the progress of the planning and construction of the Grand Canal Intangible Cultural Park. The park resumed its opening on September 9 by imposing restrictions on the flow of tourists, temperature detection, and health code checking.
Lou said that the planning and construction of Sanwan Ecological and Cultural Park must highlight the protection of the unique natural ecology and historical and cultural resources, and coordinate the cultural venues and museums in the province to create selected exhibitions, making the Sanwan Scenic Area a new symbol of tourism and culture in Yangzhou.
When visiting Dongguan Street, a traditional and popular tourist attraction in Yangzhou, Lou Qinjian inquired about the operation of the front shops and whether they have encountered any difficulties.
The CPC provincial chief said that the epidemic has caused difficulties for tourism and business operations, making it necessary to implement relief policies such as rent reduction and exemption to help business operators tide over the temporary difficulties.

He told Academician Zhang Hongcheng that it was very hard for agricultural scientific and technical personnel to conduct experiments in the fields, adding that we must rely on technology and experts to ensure stable grain supply.
