A light rail transit system connecting urban Nanjing and Jurong City went into operation on Tuesday. Let’s take a close look.
The Nanjing-Jurong LRT system, dubbed S6 line, starts from Nanjing Maqun Station in the west and ends at Jurong High-speed Railway in the east.
13 stations are built along the 43.59-km-long rail transit route with the first train pulling out at six in the morning in both ways.
A maximum of 8 yuan is charged for a single-way ride that takes around 40 minutes. The base fare is 2 yuan for a ride of 4 kilometers.
