Construction of the Changzhou-Wuxi section of the Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou South Expressway was completed on Tuesday.
The 43.9-kilometer-long Changzhou-Wuxi section of the Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou South Expressway is located in the south of Jiangsu and traverses Taihu Lake. It starts from Qianhuang Town in Changzhou in the west and ends at Nanquan Town in the east on the Wuxi Ring-Taihu Expressway.
The expressway is built with six lanes on both directions. The Taihu Lake Tunnel is the most beautiful scenery on the route.
The new high-speed expressway between Nanjing and Shanghai is of great significance for promoting the development of cities along the line of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou, and accelerating the integration of the Yangtze River Delta.
