East China’s Jiangsu province accomplished the annual goals for paired-up support and rural vitalization, according to a press conference held on Tuesday.
In 2021, following the instructions of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, Jiangsu continued to help Shaanxi Province and Xining City and Haidong City in Qinghai Province. The paired-up poverty alleviation in Qinghai Province was extended to the whole province.
Jiangsu provided assistance to Tibet, Xinjiang and Qinghai’s prefectures and counties where Tibetans live under the original paired-up support system.
Since last year, Jiangsu has allocated 6.862 billion yuan of financial aid funds, ensuring the smooth implementation of east-west cooperation and paired-up assistance projects.
Jiangsu has also fulfilled the annual goals for industrial park construction and farm produce sales in the paired-up assistance regions.
