Migrant workers in various parts of Jiangsu province have been asked not to travel back to their hometowns but to stay put for the spring festival holiday for the concerns of epidemic prevention and control.
Huai’an city arranged for retired officials and outstanding young talents to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. Everyone felt a strong festive atmosphere when making dumplings amid cheers and laughter. The retired officials presented the young talents written blessing characters, wishing them a happy new year.
Starting in April last year, Huai’an has teamed up 470 veteran CPC members and specialists with 856 young talents to provide the best possible life and work environment.
More than 4,000 party members and volunteers in Siyang County visited communities and enterprises to write Spring Festival couplets, perform dramas, and steam buns for migrant workers who have chosen to stay put for the Chinese new year rather than heading back home for the family reunion.
Enterprises in Taizhou and Changzhou have provided subsidies to the migrant workers who have stay put for the Chinese New Year to wish them a happy spring festival though they are away from their hometowns.
