East China’s Jiangsu province reported smooth traffic during the spring festival holiday while taking strict measures for epidemic prevention and control.
Kunshan has set up nucleic acid sampling sites at the exits of five transportation hubs to provide free nucleic acid testing services for nearly 40 thousand passengers.
"On the way to Kunshan,I was worried about where to get a nucleic acid test.When I arrived at the station,I felt the convenience provided by the authorities."said a Passenger
"We hope that passengers can take nucleic acid sampling immediately after exiting the stations,and obtain the nucleic acid test report,as soon as possible,so as to avoid the gathering of people at other sampling sites."said Zhu Min, Deputy Director of Kunshan Municipal Health Commission
About 300 thousand people returned to Kunshan by train or coach during the Spring Festival. The Kunshan Municipal Health Commission arranged for more than 200 medical staff to conduct nucleic acid sampling at 5 sites.
Sunday is the last day of the Spring Festival holiday, and the railway and passenger hubs ushered in the first peak of return passenger flow after the holiday. Transportation departments across the province have strengthened measures for epidemic prevention and control.
"We have arranged for staff to measure temperature and check health codes at the entry gate.We have also required travelers heading for Beijing to show a 48-hour valid negative nucleic acid test report."said Li Xiaoyu, Secretary of the Party Branch of Changzhou North Railway Station
Lianyungang Huaguoshan International Airport ushered in the first Spring Festival travel since its opening. The airport strictly implemented epidemic prevention and control measures to ensure the health and safety of passengers.
The airport also required travelers to present their health code and a negative acid test report valid within 48 hours.
