Xu Kunlin, governor of Jiangsu province, met in Nanjing on Wednesday with State Grid Corporation chairman Xin Baoan and general manager Zhang Zhigang.
Xu Kunlin, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Wu Zhenglong, extended his warm welcome to Xin Baoan and Zhang Zhigang and his delegation, and expressed his gratitude to State Grid Corporation for its long-term contribution to Jiangsu's economic and social development.
Xu Kunlin said that energy is the lifeblood of economic development, adding that Jiangsu is a big economic province, a big province of energy and electricity production and consumption.
He said State Grid Corporation of China is an extra-large state-owned key enterprise related to national energy security and the lifeline of the national economy.
The Governor hoped that the two sides will deepen cooperation in ensuring energy security and power supply, achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality and energy green and low-carbon transformation, investment and construction of power grids, cultivating and expanding the new power equipment industry, and optimizing the business environment.
Xu Kunlin also expressed the hope that the two sides will achieve a wider field and a higher level of mutual benefit and win-win, help Jiangsu's high-quality development, and jointly serve the overall situation of national development,adding that Jiangsu will continue to strengthen policy support, provide high-quality services and create a good environment for the development of State Grid in Jiangsu.
Xin Baoan said that Jiangsu Power Grid is the largest provincial power grid company in the State Grid system, adding that the State Grid will further strengthen close cooperation with Jiangsu, ensure the supply of energy and power, serve the green and low-carbon transformation, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of Jiangsu.
