Students in Suzhou city will resume classes as the resurgence of COVID-19 epidemic has been contained.
The 12th graders and 9th graders took the lead to resume classes on March 9 while the rest of the students in primary and secondary schools and kindergartens will follow suit on March 14. As of March 8, Suzhou reported 118 confirmed local COVID-19 cases and 29 local asymptomatic cases. 83 of them had been discharged from hospitals. 19 cases of local asymptomatic infection were released from medical observation. On Monday, Suzhou was declared a low-risk area in the whole region.
