The project will upgrade all 6,000 mu of dry land in Xuliu Town to paddy fields for rice and wheat rotation, promoting grain production and increasing the collective income of the village.
Du Yeyan, a farm owner of Xuliu Town, Huaiyin District, Huaian City, said that they renovated the water conservancy canals and planted rice in all the farmland, which is estimated to increase the income by nearly 500 yuan per mu. She plans to contract another two or three hundred mu next year.

This year, Jiangsu will provide a financial subsidy of 170 yuan, which will further mobilize the enthusiasm of planting subjects on the basis of the central government subsidy of 150 yuan per mu.
Jiangsu will also support a number of modern commercial breeding innovation centers, carry out research and popularization and application of core technologies such as germplasm resource innovation, and improve comprehensive agricultural production capacity.
