East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort while strengthened the efforts for epidemic prevention and control. Let’s take a close look.

"Haohailong", a new generation of super large and intelligent self-propelled cutter suction vessel independently developed by China, is dredging the tail end of the port basin at the construction site of the first phase of CNOOC Yancheng "Green Energy Port" project, the largest LNG reserve base under construction in China.

The 9-month construction of the dredging of the harbour basin, approach channel and main channel of the project has set a number of domestic records in terms of the longest straight row distance of blowing and filling in China, the largest number and type of ships in the same construction field, the fastest dredging construction between the piles of the receiving station and the wharf, and a successful one-time success of 15 kilometers of direct blowing of mud on land.

The four 220,000-cubic-meter storage tanks are expected to be put into operation on June 30. The project, which is scheduled for operation by the end of 2023, will ensure an annual processing capacity of 6 million tons of LNG, making it the largest LNG storage base in China.

Huaian is speeding up the construction of an extra-large bridge on Provincial Highway 264. A total of 21 bridges will be built, with an investment of 2.02 billion yuan and a total length of 34.45 kilometers.

The 1,499-meter extra-large bridge is the longest of all and also the largest and most expensive project in the entire project.

The extra-large bridge project, which is scheduled for completion in May next year, will further improve the trunk highway network in the central part of northern Jiangsu.
