The Jiangsu Provincial Higher People's Court held a press conference on Monday to brief on the province's comprehensive construction of smart courts in recent years and continuous deepening of online services and online case handling. The court also released a white paper and typical cases at the press briefing.
In recent years, courts at all levels in Jiangsu Province have made every effort to build an information-based smart service platform, aiming to explore the use of blockchain technology, build and optimize blockchain platforms, and resolve the authenticity of documents in the circulation of legal documents and the determination of the authenticity of electronic evidence in the handling of intellectual property cases.
In July 2021, Jiangsu Higher Court put into trial operation its blockchain platform. Up to now, 83 local courts have been put on the chain, covering 67% of the middle and grassroots courts in the province, and more than 4.29 million copies of evidence-based data have been realized.
The People's Court of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area has developed an integrated dispute resolution platform for administrative disputes to break through the information barriers between the plaintiff, the defendant and the court, and effectively assists in the resolution and prevention of administrative disputes.
On this platform, the court recently mediated an administrative lawsuit against the Market Supervision Administration for kitchen fumes from a roast duck restaurant.
