The Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China held a meeting on Tuesday to learn and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and recent important instructions when he inspected in Wuhan city of Hubei province, attended the ceremony in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the inauguration ceremony of the sixth government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Efforts should be made to study and implement the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour in Wuhan of central China’s Hubei province and the important instructions on studying and absorbing the opinions and suggestions put forward by netizens on the work of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China so as to fully, accurately and comprehensively implement the new development concept, accelerate the construction of a new development pattern, efficiently coordinate epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, strike a balance between development and safety, strive to fulfill this year's goals and tasks, and maintain a stable and healthy economic environment, a social environment of national peace and security, and a clean political environment, according to a statement released after the meeting.
We must adhere to the principle of science and technology as the primary productive force, talents as the primary resource, and innovation as the primary driving force, strengthen the research on bottleneck technologies, deepen the integration of the industrial chain and innovation chain, accelerate the promotion of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance, and build an industrial technology innovation center with global influence, the statement said.
We must work hard to strengthen the construction of grass-roots party organizations, improve the modernization capacity of community governance, solve the problems of people's livelihood, better benefit the people, and constantly consolidate the party's ruling foundation, said the statement.
We must go all out to fulfill the political responsibility of food security, prevent cultivated land from being used for non-agricultural and non-food production purposes, accelerate the construction of high-standard farmland, said the statement.
Efforts should be made to promote the understanding of the "Study Outline of the Xi Jinping Thought on Economics" and fourth volume of the Xi Jinping: the Governance of the Country, gain insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core so as to follow the General Secretary to forge a new journey and win new victories, said the statement.
