The Noord-Brabant province of the Netherlands is a sister province of Jiangsu. In May 2021, the joint committee of the two provinces promoted the opening of the China-Europe freight train to make it the Nanjing-Tilburg freight line which started two-way operation in February this year.
As of the end of May, 24 freight trains running on this rail line has transported 1,990 international TEUs with a total value of 126.3 million US dollars.

Jiangsu has paired up 352 international friendly provinces, states and cities with 64 countries, ranking first in the country in total.
Since the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", Jiangsu has continuously deepened its economic and trade cooperation with countries along the "Belt and Road" by reporting an average annual double-digit growth in import and export, and two-way agreement investment exceeding 20 billion US dollars.

In Sihanoukville, Jiangsu's sister province in Cambodia, the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone invested and constructed by Jiangsu enterprises is known as "a model of China-Cambodia pragmatic cooperation" through the launch of a number of cooperation projects for people's livelihood. The Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone has so far settled 174 enterprises, employing nearly 30,000 people and contributing more than 50% to the economy of Sihanoukville.
