Xuzhou has put into operation a carbon black base with an annual output of 50,000 tons in the county level city of Pizhou. JSBC has the story.
The commissioning ceremony of Cabot High Performance Materials Xuzhou Co., Ltd. was held in Pizhou Economic Development Zone on the morning of June 30th.
Cabot Xuzhou Plant is the fourth carbon black production base in China invested by Cabot Corporation of the United States, its first wholly-owned production plant in China, and the first base in the Asia-Pacific region to focus on special carbon black production.
Currently, Cabot Xuzhou Plant has 2 production lines with an annual output of 50,000 tons of specialty carbon black.
As an important industrial material, special carbon black is widely used in various industries such as automotive lightweight, textile, environmental protection, electronic appliances, and coatings.
With the commissioning of the Xuzhou plant, Cabot will become the largest manufacturer of specialty carbon black products in China. As the only carbon-based new material industrial park built in Jiangsu Province, Pizhou Economic Development Zone will help Cabot Xuzhou factory better realize the circular economy model.
