Changzhou's fixed-asset investment increased by 0.4 percent from a year earlier in the first seven months, the Municipal Statistics Bureau said in a statement.
Investment in the industrial sector registered a 6.8-percent increase in the first seven months, said the bureau, noting that the investment in technological transformation increased by 12.5 percent, ranking third in Jiangsu province and first in southern Jiangsu.
Investment into high-tech industries sustained growth momentum, jumping 11.5 percent year-on-year. In particular, the high-tech manufacturing sector saw investment rise 21.3 percent during this period.
Real-estate investment continued to decline. Property investment for the January to July period dropped 9.3 percent from a year earlier, accelerating from the 8.5-percent decline marked in the first half of 2022.
