In 1992, the state-level Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone was approved by the State Council, creating a precedent for the establishment of national-level development zones in county-level cities.
Over the past 30 years, Kunshan Development Zone has become a practical example of national reform and opening up and a wonderful example of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
