CHENGDU, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Free and safe food has been provided at quake relief shelters in Shimian County, southwest China's Sichuan Province.

A 6.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Sichuan on Monday, and Shimian County in Ya'an City was one of the hardest-hit areas.
