Nantong, the Pearl City of River and Sea, welcomed a group of international visitors from Discover Jiangsu Project to witness the charm of this city on Thursday and Friday. The tour to Nantong was jointly hosted by the Information Office and Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government.
Nine participants from eight?countries including Yemen, Morocco, Pakistan, etc. joined the experience to appreciate the unique charm of Nantong’s traditional culture and rapid development of science and technology in this two-day trip.
The first stop of this trip is Nantong Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Center, which reflects the protection and inheritance of the city’s representative intangible cultural heritage projects.?Foreign guests also tried making Banyao kites themselves which helped them understand Nantong traditional culture comprehensively and systematically.?
Expats also visited Nantong Innovation District Exhibition Center in Zilang Science & Technology Park and Peking University Yangtze Delta Institute of Optoelectronics,?which showcasing the innovation and entrepreneurship of Nantong.
"Discover Jiangsu" is a major brand forged by Jiangsu Province. Each year, the organizers invite expats living in Jiangsu to explore various sides of the province and introduce Jiangsu to the world.
