East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to provide solid support for building a new pattern of regional coordinated development featuring resource sharing, mutual benefit and win-win results.
On October 26, Suzhou Rail Transit Line S1 was connected to the power grid, providing a strong guarantee for the subsequent cold and hot sliding test, integrated joint commissioning and trial operation of trains.
Connecting to the power grid means that the project will enter the phase of communication signal, power lighting, ventilation and air conditioning, water supply and drainage, and escalator power receiving commissioning, providing strong guarantee for the commissioning of trains on the railway line.
Line S1 starts from Weiting Station of Suzhou Rail Transit Line 3 in the west and ends at Kunshan Huaqiao Station in the east. Connecting with Shanghai Rail Transit Line 11, the 41.25km-long subway route is expected to be put into trial operation in 2023.
At the construction site of Guhuanghe Bridge on East Xuzhou Ringroad Expressway, the pile foundation 200m south of the bridge had been poured, and the construction staff were seen erecting the bent cap.
At the construction site, 15 large road construction machines took turns to fill and compact the subgrade repeatedly with the pier column construction at one side kept in busy operation, indicating the smooth progress of the overall project.
Designed with six lanes in both directions at a speed of 120 km/h and built with seven interchanges and one service area, the 63.7-km-long East Xuzhou Ringroad Expressway is of great significance to promote the development of the eastern area of Xuzhou and the construction of Xuzhou Metropolitan Circle.
