East China's Jiangsu province has continued to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights, woven a tighter intellectual property protection network, and made every effort to ensure the continuous optimization of the business environment and support high-quality economic development.
Changzhou Nainberg, a high-tech enterprise that develops and produces balance cars and scooters, found that many companies counterfeited their patented products and sold them on e-commerce platforms on a large scale.
In order to stop the patent infringement as soon as possible, Nainberg initiated the right protection and sought help from Changzhou Intellectual Property Protection Center.
The Protection Center quickly set up a special working group to guide the enterprises to cut off the sales network for online complaints and start offline administrative protection to stop infringement.
"The Protection Center not only gives us guidance and analysis from the strategy of rapid rights protection, but also gives us reference and suggestions from the perspective of specific operation. Without the help of the Center our response might not be so rapid and our losses would be greater," said Li Cai, Senior Patent Director of Intellectual Property Department of Changzhou Branch of No. 9 Company.
In order to stop patent infringement and safeguard the rights and interests of enterprises, Jiangsu has implemented "quick protection" and "strict protection", and organized a "1+13+N" rapid collaborative protection network for intellectual property rights.
ZhaoJialin, Director of the Office of Changzhou Intellectual Property Protection Center, said that through the fast track they have shortened the licensing time of invention patents and at the same time the licensing rate was nearly double that of ordinary applications, effectively promoting the innovative R&D activities of innovation subjects.
In order to improve the efficiency of intellectual property protection, Jiangsu has also taken the lead in building an intellectual property protection demonstration zone nationwide, and has successively invested 75 million yuan in special funds to encourage all regions to explore and innovate intellectual property protection systems and mechanisms, and build a highland for intellectual property protection.
Nanjing, one of the first batch of demonstration areas for intellectual property protection in the province, took the lead in setting up an intellectual property law enforcement detachment in the province in May to further consolidate the grassroots intellectual property protection force and improve the level of intellectual property law enforcement.
In the past ten years, the provincial intellectual property administrative departments handled a total of 61305 patent cases, including 18843 patent infringement disputes, ranking the top in the country.
In the 2021 survey report on social satisfaction with intellectual property protection released by the State Intellectual Property Office in September, Jiangsu ranked first in China with 83.62 points.
