The 2022 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference opened in Nanjing under the sponsorship of by the Jiangsu Provincial Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the China Association for Science and Technology.

Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that in the past decade, China's intelligent manufacturing has entered the world's leading ranks in terms of application scale and level with 110 factories reaching the international advanced level of intelligent manufacturing, nearly 2000 high-level digital workshops and intelligent factories leading the development of the industry and the density of robots in the manufacturing industry increasing by about 13 times to 322 per 10000 workers. The application scale of key technologies of intelligent manufacturing such as 5G and artificial intelligence has been among the top in the world.
Over the past decade, China's intelligent manufacturing equipment industry has reported an output value of nearly 3 trillion yuan, and the income from industrial software products has exceeded 240 billion yuan. Nearly 100intelligent manufacturing system solution providers have reported operating income of more than 1 billion yuan on an individual basis, covering more than 90% of the manufacturing industry.
