East China’s Jiangsu province reported a year-on-year growth in the operating revenue of industrial enterprises above designated size in the first ten months of this year with the 13 prefecture-level cities recording rising industrial production. Enterprises have increased their efforts to research and develop new products and expand the market, so that the rapid development of high-tech manufacturing industry has supported Jiangsu's economy to climb in the face of adversities.
The latest industrial analysis by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology shows that from January to October, the added value of the province’s industries above designated size increased by 5.1%, 0.6 percentage points higher than that in the first three quarters, and maintaining rising for five consecutive months.
From January to October, the operating income of the province’s industries above designated size increased by 6.7% year on year, 1.6 percentage points higher than the industrial growth rate year on year, indicating that the industrial operation situation has improved simultaneously with the recovery of growth.
