Now the main works of continuous beams crossing Provincial Highway 334 have been completed,and the main works of steel beams crossing Rugao-Taizhou Canal have basically been completed.

In Wuxi, 10 shield tunnel sections of Xicheng Line S1 have been connected recently. The elevated section between Xuxia Passenger Station and Weiqiao Station of Wuxi Metro Line 1 has been erected, paving the way for the connection of the whole line by the end of this year.

At present,all 9 stations on the whole Xicheng Line S1 have been capped,and the auxiliary structures of each station have begun to be constructed.The track laying and electromechanical installation processes have been fully carried out on the whole line,laying a solid foundation,for the early completion and opening of the whole line.
The 30.4km-long Xicheng Light Rail Line S1 is the key line for connecting Wuxi with Jiangyin.
Suzhou is making every effort to promote the construction of Rail Transit Line S1 to ensure industrial operation on March 1 next year. The 41.25km rail transit S1 line connects Suzhou, Kunshan and Shanghai, which is of great significance for promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
