China's energy economy picked up steadily in 2022 with better trend of energy economy expected in 2023, according to the series of reports on 2023 energy economy forecast and outlook research released on January 8.
The Change and Trend of China's Energy Economic Index shows that China's energy economy recovered steadily in 2022, which is similar to the macroeconomic cycle with a small fluctuation range, and acts as a buffer zone.
In 2023, China will usher in a positive trend of macroeconomic and energy economy with the new energy and energy integration industry unleash a new development.
Tang Baojun, Deputy Director of the Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center of Beijing University of Technology, said that from the perspective of industry, they pay special attention to industries such as photovoltaic power generation, wind power generation and automatic control equipment of power grid, which have always demonstrated good performance. In addition, the new energy vehicle industry has been steadily rising in recent years.
The series of reports on energy economy prediction and outlook research is the latest achievement of the national key research and development plan project "research on the comprehensive assessment model of economic impact of climate change".
The project is led by Beijing University of Technology and jointly undertaken by several institutions.
The scientific research team released eight reports in total, including China's energy economy index, provincial energy high-quality development index, China's carbon market review and outlook, and the energy development picture towards Chinese path to modernization.
