The standing members of the provincial party committee held a meeting on Wednesday to study the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the meeting of criticism and self-criticism of the Political Bureau held on December 26 and 27 last year. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee has formed a system of holding criticism and self-criticism meetings on a regular basis, which has played a major role in promoting the Party's construction and promoting the Party's cause, according to a statement released after the meeting.
This criticism and self-criticism meeting was the first of its kind held by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee after the 20th National Congress of the CPC, fully reflecting the noble demeanor of setting a benchmark and an example for the whole party, the statement said.
The important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping has provided important guidance for us to further promote the work of the new era and new journey by better shouldering our responsibilities and missions, said the statement.
Efforts should be made to enhance political stance, gain insight into the decisive significance that the Party has established Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and defined the guiding role of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, the statement said.
Jiangsu will implement the major decisions and deployment of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, more conscientiously promote the new practice of Chinese path to modernization in Jiangsu, strengthen the system concept for development, deeply grasp the relevance and coupling between work in various fields, and turn the grand blueprint drawn by the General Secretary into reality, said the statement.
The meeting of criticism and self-criticism held from December 26 to 27 by the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee was themed on fully implementing the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; developing a deep understanding of the decisive significance of establishing Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and establishing the guiding role of the thought; strengthening the consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment with the central Party leadership; staying confident in the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics; upholding Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and upholding the Party Central Committee's authority and its centralized, unified leadership; and uniting and leading Party officials in implementing with great effort and determination the major decisions and plans made at the 20th CPC National Congress.
