On the new journey of modernization construction, the city of Taizhou in east China’s Jiangsu province is taking the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the Third Plenary Session of the 14th Provincial Party Committee as the guide and making every effort to promote the Chinese path to modernization by fully displaying a realistic picture in Taizhou.
While focusing on the development of pharmaceutical high-tech industrial zone, the districts of Taixing, Jiangyan and Hailing have all developed competitive industrial bases.
Taizhou's pharmaceutical industry output value has accounted for about 20% of the province’s total value. After 17 years of innovation and entrepreneurship development, Taizhou Pharmaceutical High-tech Zone has formed three pillar industries: biological medicine, new chemical preparations, diagnostic reagents and high-end medical devices.

By 2025, we will list 20 enterprises on the main board, register 3 billion yuan of general budget revenue and report 40 billion yuan of industrial output value.
Taizhou is also promoting the overall layout and extending the industrial chain. Jingjiang, a county-level city, focuses on the development of nutrition and health products. Taixing District cultivates high-end raw materials, future food and beauty industries. Xinghua, a county-level city, focuses on health food and agricultural tourism and leisure industry, while Jiangyan District promotes health tourism and health care and elderly care industry.

The third plenary session of the 14th Provincial Party Committee made a systematic deployment around "accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system", which provided an important guideline for us to promote the high-quality development of the big health industry. We will build a high-quality development pattern of the big health industry with regional characteristics and competitive advantages to ensure that the total output value of the big health industry can exceed 400 billion yuan by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan".
Embarking on the new journey, Taizhou is promoting cross-Yangtze River integrated development and urban-rural integrated development with a broader vision and a bigger picture, accelerating the promotion of supply chain centers in the domestic and international circulation pattern, consolidating and expanding the characteristics and advantages of biopharmaceuticals into the overall advantages of high-quality development of the big health industry for the promotion of common prosperity.
