When attending a panel discussion on Tuesday with Suzhou’s deputies to the Provincial People’s Congress, Xin Changxing, Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, asked Suzhou to play a key role in the practice of the Chinese path to modernization.
Xin Changxing said that the work report of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress thoroughly implemented the General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thought on upholding and improving the system of the People's Congress, thoroughly practiced the whole-process people's democracy, and embodied the organic unity of the Party's leadership, the people's ownership of the country, and the rule of law.
He said the work report of the provincial court and the provincial procuratorate fully implemented the Xi Jinping Thought on Rule of Law, highlighting the legal responsibility of justice for the people and fair justice.
Xin Changxing said the ten-year new era is a decade in which Jiangsu has made important progress in developing the whole process of people's democracy and promoting the comprehensive rule of law in the province.
He remarked that in the future, we must focus on the strategic deployment of the 20th CPC National Congress, further promote the construction of socialist democracy in the province from a new starting point, and strive to show greater achievements.
Noting that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has drawn a grand blueprint for building a socialist modern country in an all-round way, Xin Changxing hoped that Suzhou would keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s ardent expectations for Suzhou’s modernization drive, strengthen the foundation and support of Suzhou’s manufacturing, release the greatest potential of Suzhou’s innovation, reshape the major advantages of Suzhou's opening up, constantly consolidate and sharpen Suzhou's position in the global industrial division, and make a leading demonstration in high-quality development.
