Six days since the earthquake in Türkiye, the Chinese rescue teams have raced against the clock to find more survivors in the quake-hit areas. JSBC staff reporters filed this story from Türkiye.

In Adeyaman, the hardest-hit earthquake area, Jiangsu Blue Sky Rescue Team members rescued a man who had been trapped in the rubble for 130 hours.

The second group of Blue Sky Rescue Team arrived in Istanbul, Türkiye in the early morning of the 12th. At present, the Blue Sky Rescue Teams sent by Jiangsu are carrying out post-quake rescue operations in Adelman and Malatia.

At the same time, the Blue Sky Rescue Rear Headquarters in Suqian has set up six groups, including information collection group, UAV support group, mapping group and translation group, to provide technical support.

Zhang Wei, Assistant of the Blue Sky Rescue Coordination Center and Head of the Blue Sky Rescue Suqian Team said, "At 4:31 a.m. Beijing time today, the Blue Sky Rescue Team successfully rescued two men under the ruins."

Residents of Adelman, Türkiye said, "I want to say that your team is very strong. We are very grateful that you can come here to help us."

XCMG Türkiye, headquartered about 700 kilometers away from the epicenter, quickly launched the emergency response mechanism by urgently coordinating with local customers and dealers, deploying excavators, loader cranes and loaders of all tonnage to carry out rescue operations, and distributing a large number of blankets, cans, baby milk powder and bread to the disaster area.

As of Sunday, XCMG has allocated more than 50 sets of equipment and provided 30 thousand to 40 thousand people with three meals a day in the earthquake-stricken areas. A truck carrying 20 X-ray source equipment has been sent from Suzhou to Türkiye. After receiving a call from a customer in Türkiye, the manufacturer rushed to organize production and fulfilled in one day the order that could have required three days.

Xu Bin, Overseas sales director of Suzhou Boside Electric Co., Ltd. said, "For example, if some wounded people have fractures or bone fractures, this set of equipment can accurately find the corresponding location of the wound. The most important thing is that it is small in size and light in weight, making it able to adapt to very complex disaster environment."

Under the guidance of the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China, several foundations and rescue teams, including the Amity Foundation, have jointly established the "Chinese social forces’ response coordination base for Türkiye's earthquake". They are conducting in-depth research on local needs and contacting various domestic and local resources to provide services for China’s social organizations in the disaster relief.
