Suzhou South Station is the junction station of Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-speed Railway and Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-speed Railway. The construction team has started to construct supporting projects for the transportation hub and completed the main structure construction of some of the projects, laying the foundation for the construction of the station building.
Suzhou South Railway Station, sized at about 40000 square meters with a maximum daily accommodation of 3000 passengers, will further improve the regional road network layout and promote urban development.
New progress has been made in the construction of the highly anticipated North Yangtze River high-speed railway. On the afternoon of July 9th, the construction team completed the pouring of the main pier cap of the continuous rigid frame arch of the Qidong Grand Bridge for the first time, marking the comprehensive construction of the continuous beam of the largest span.
“We are currently carrying out the construction of the bearing platform, and will continue with the construction of the main pier body and continuous hanging basket”, Zhang Yi'an, Manager of the First Division of the North Yangtze River Railway VI Project Management Department, said.
The North Yangtze River high-speed railway is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. The 364-kilometer-long Jiangsu section, which passes through Taicang, Nantong, Yangzhou, and Nanjing, is expected to be completed by 2027. the railway is of great significance for promoting the integrated development across the Yangtze River, promoting the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, and high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
