The city of Suzhou is extending its invitation to more high-level talents from home and abroad to serve as city partners by publicizing its talent-hunting theme "You will succeed if you come to Suzhou” during this year's Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites.
During the Entrepreneurship Week, Kunshan signed contracts for 177 talent projects, including talent technology and finance projects, innovation platform projects, and academician projects, attracting a total investment of 13.5 billion yuan and gathering 192 innovative and entrepreneurial talents with doctoral degrees.
“The reason why Kunshan was able to consistently rank first in the top 100 counties in the past is mainly due to its pioneering innovation. I believe that Kunshan will have a promising future as long as it firmly grasps innovation”, Yang Ruilong, Deputy Director of the School Affairs Committee of Renmin University of China, said.
The Yangtze River Delta Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance was established at the 2023 Overseas Chinese High-level Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit held in Wujiang District of Suzhou under the co-sponsorship of Suzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi, Changzhou of Jiangsu Jiading District and Qingpu District of Shanghai, and Hangzhou, Huzhou, and Jiaxing of Zhejiang. The alliance will further consolidate and support the deep integration of overseas Chinese resources and wisdom in the Yangtze River Delta.
The innovation and entrepreneurship ecology of Suzhou Industrial Park is fully displayed through a series of activities including talent docking, theme forums, roadshow events, and immersion visits.
“We have seized the strategic opportunities brought by the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Demonstration Zone, the Taihu Lake Rim Science and Technology Innovation Circle and the Wusong River Science and Technology Innovation Belt so as to actively build the optimal environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, and comprehensively demonstrate the Wujiang style of "You will succeed if you come to Suzhou””, Sun Feng, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Wujiang District CPC Committee, said.
Suzhou Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites has introduced nearly 11000 projects, with projects in the four major industrial innovation clusters of high-end equipment, electronic information, advanced materials, and biomedicine accounting for nearly 70% of the total.
