Sunan International Cargo Airlines Co., Ltd., the first local cargo airline in Wuxi, opened the Wuxi-Seoul (Incheon) cargo route on Tuesday afternoon, marking the success of Wuxi's local airline in achieving a "zero" breakthrough in international cargo routes.
On Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 pm, the inaugural flight departed from Wuxi on time and arrived at Incheon Airport two hours and ten minutes later. As the first direct cargo route to South Korea opened by Sunan Shuofang Airport, this flight can carry a maximum of 14 tons of cargo and is scheduled to operate four flights a week, with a later plan of six flights a week to fully meet the transportation needs of local manufacturing enterprises and cross-border trade.
“Previously, our company's air cargo was transported from Incheon, South Korea to Pudong, Shanghai. The operational time and customs clearance speed of Sunan Shuofang Airport were generally better than those of Shanghai in terms of logistics time. We believe this is helpful in improving the overall supply chain level of our company”, Zhou Jian, Director of Logistics and Customs Department of Suzhou Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., said.
In the future, Sunan International Cargo Airlines will continue to carry out full cargo aircraft business, gradually opening freight routes between important urban clusters in Northeast Asia,
