East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major transport infrastructure projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development. JSBC has the story.
After more than 60 hours of continuous operations, on July 28th, the right steel box girder of the southern connection project of Changzhou-Taixing Yangtze River Bridge was accurately positioned in the air, marking the completion of the top of the steel box girder with the largest span on the entire line.

After the completion of this work, the final limiting factor will be lifted by erecting the segmental beams of the project and moving the bridge erecting machine. We are expecting to accelerate the installation of segmental beams and complete all of them by the end of October.
The total length of the north-south highway connection project of Changzhou-Taixing Yangtze River Bridge is about 32 kilometers, which is of great significance for building a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation corridor along the river.
The Huai'an East Station is about to be completed, and the final decoration and joint debugging are underway, paving the way for the final acceptance in mid-to-late August.
“After the completion of the project, the Nanjing-Huaihuan Inter-city rail will be put into operation, and the 45000-square-meter Huai'an East railway station will become an important station building connecting multiple railway lines”, Li Rongrong, Production Manager of the Huai'an East Station, said.
