Xin Changxing, Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Xu Kunlin, governor of Jiangsu Province, met in Nanjing on Tuesday with Xin Bao’an, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and chairman of the board of directors of State Grid Corporation of China.
On behalf of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, Xin Changxing and Xu Kunlin expressed their heartfelt thanks to the State Grid Corporation of China for its long-term important contributions to Jiangsu's economic and social development.
Xin Changxing pointed out that high-quality development and modernization cannot be achieved without strong, safe and stable energy security.
Last month, during his inspection tour in Jiangsu, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Nanrui Group, a high-tech enterprise under State Grid Corporation of China, where he gave important instructions on accelerating core technology research, improving energy security, and safeguarding capabilities.
The State Grid Corporation of China is not only the main force in ensuring power supply, but also a leader in energy technology innovation. The on-site promotion meeting held at Nanrui Group fully reflects the company's consciousness, initiative, and determination to deeply study and implement the General Secretary’s important instructions, and fully demonstrates the high importance it attaches to the guarantee of energy and power supply in Jiangsu, which has provided strong support for Jiangsu to promote technological self-reliance and strengthening the supply chain.
This year, Jiangsu has ushered in an early peak in electricity consumption. With the careful organization and scheduling of the State Grid Corporation of China, the province's electricity supply is stable and orderly, effectively supporting the overall improvement of economic operation.
Xin Changxing hoped that both sides can give full play to their respective advantages to achieve a higher level of mutual benefit and win-win results in ensuring energy and power security, accelerating the construction of power infrastructure, strengthening the smart grid industry cluster, building a new energy system with multi energy complementation, and jointly support and serve the overall development of the country. He said Jiangsu will create a better environment and fully support the development of the State Grid Corporation of China in Jiangsu.
Xin Bao’an thanked Jiangsu for its care and support for the work of State Grid Corporation of China and congratulated Jiangsu on the new achievements made in high-quality development.
He said that the State Grid of China will deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, focus on long-term and systematic planning, further deepen all-round cooperation with Jiangsu, fully guarantee the reliable supply of electricity, actively build a new power system, accelerate energy and electricity technology innovation, promote comprehensive green and low-carbon transformation of economic and social development, and provide strong guarantees for the modernization drive of a new Jiangsu.
