The first customized passenger transport line from Shanghai to Qidong of Jiangsu province was put into trial operation last week to bring more convenience to the work, life, and medical treatment of residents in both regions.
Many passengers took the customized passenger route that is still in trial operation. Aunt Zhang and her husband's destination is near Wujiaochang in Shanghai. Originally, they would buy tickets to Shanghai Terminal. They decisively bought tickets for the customized bus route when they learned that with the customized bus line, they could directly get off at Wujiaochang.
“This is very convenient. This is my first time taking a customized passenger route. I used to have to get off at the terminal, but now it's really great for us, especially for the elderly”, Aunt Zhang, a resident of Qidong, said,
Compared with regular passenger routes, the destination of customized routes is no longer a single passenger terminal with additional pick-up and drop off sites midway.
“After returning from Qidong, there is no need to transfer to the terminal station. These two pick-up points are the gathering place for bus stops and subways, bringing great convenience to passengers' travel and shortening the journey back home”, Xu Jun, Executive Vice General Manager of Shanghai Zhixin Passenger Transport Co., Ltd., said.
The customized passenger transportation line from Shanghai to Qidong is operated four shifts a day.
