Nanjing Customs issued 18.6-billion-yuan worth of RCEP export certificate of origin from January to July with both figures ranking first in the country.
Jiangsu Aoke Chemical Co., Ltd., located in Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park, is engaged in the production and sales of green low-carbon chemical new materials such as ethylene oxide and lithium battery electrolyte solvents. Its products are sold to more than 20 countries such as Vietnam and Thailand.
Since the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, enterprises in Jiangsu have been granted RCEP certificate of origin under the guidance and support of customs.
In the first half of this year, Jiangsu Aoke Chemical Co., Ltd. recorded an export of 28000 tons of new chemical materials, a year-on-year increase of 110%.
“The export of our company's products to Southeast Asia directly enjoys zero tariff treatment under RCEP, which directly reduces the import country's tariff from 4.5% to 0. Enterprises are expected to save 3 million yuan in compliance costs annually, and the reduction in tariff costs will significantly enhance their competitiveness in the international market”, Cao Fei, Sales General Manager of International Trade Department of Jiangsu Oak Chemical Co., Ltd., said.
“We will also conduct more extensive enterprise research to customize one-on-one benefits and tax reduction plans for enterprises, helping them expand into the international market and improve product competitiveness”, Yin Hongyan, Chief of the Enterprise Management Department of Yangzhou Customs, said.
According to data, from January to July, Nanjing Customs issued a total of 59400 RCEP certificates of origin, with the export value of 18.676 billion yuan, ranking first in the country, with year-on-year growth of 38.64% and 10.49%, respectively. Relevant enterprises can enjoy a destination country tariff discount of 280 million yuan.
According to customs statistics, from January to July, Nanjing Customs issued a total of 59400 RCEP certificates of origin, with a visa export value of 18.676 billion yuan, ranking first in the country and standing for a year-on-year growth of 38.64% and 10.49% respectively. Enterprises can enjoy a destination country tariff discount of 280 million yuan.
During the same period, enterprises in Jiangsu enjoyed a preferential import value of 10.663 billion yuan and a tariff discount of 223 million yuan under RCEP, with year-on-year growth of 73.18% and 89.09% respectively.
