East China’s Jiangsu province has made every effort to create jobs to improve people’s livelihood. Let’s take a close look.
Jiangsu will highlight employment enhancement as the largest livelihood project by focusing on stabilizing employment, urbanization of agricultural population, elderly care services, and open and shared public resources.
Jiangsu will support the development of service industries that have large employment capacity, small and micro enterprises, and self-employed businesses.
The province will develop at least 3000 research assistant positions in universities, provincial research institutes, and provincial enterprises.
Jiangsu will continue to ensure the recruitment college graduates at public institutions and provide a one-time subsidy of 1500 yuan per person to enterprises that recruit college graduates.
“These policies are mainly aimed at helping enterprises further reduce costs, reduce burdens, stabilize and expand employment. In the next step, we will use information technology to compare and identify eligible enterprises through big data, and use methods such as exemption from application, direct subsidy, and fast processing to ensure that all eligible enterprises can enjoy preferential policies and release policy dividends as soon as possible”, Xue Yong, Director of Employment Promotion Department, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, said.
With the continuous trend of aging population, Jiangsu will promote the high-quality development of elderly care services in a bid to ensure and improve people's livelihoods, vigorously develop the silver economy, guide multiple entities to participate in the research and development of elderly care services and products, and actively promote the elderly care model that combines medical care and elderly care.
To further boost confidence in the elderly care service market, Jiangsu will provide a one-time relief subsidy of 1100 yuan per person to private elderly care institutions in the province. At the same time, the province will ensure that financial allocation is provided for the construction of nursing beds, institutional operation subsidies, job subsidies for elderly care personnel, and one-time entry rewards.
“This policy provides a total subsidy of 125 million yuan to benefit more than 1500 private elderly care institutions in the province. The subsidy funds will be disbursed before the end of November this year to further boost confidence in the elderly care service market and promote the sustainable development of the elderly care industry”, Ye Xiangyu, Deputy Director of the Elderly Care Service Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, said.
