East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up its efforts to promote industry-university-research cooperation, according to the second Jiangsu Conference on Industry-University-Research Cooperation and Exchange held in Nanjing on Monday.
Stepping into the exhibition area, you seem to have entered a grand party where the technology of the institute is released, the needs of enterprises are exchanged, and the wisdom of experts collides. The participants sit down for a chat, allowing more scientific research achievements to move from the "laboratory" to the "production line".
142 research institutes have showcased over 600 latest technological achievements, and more than 850 enterprises have promoted over 1000 technological innovation needs to recruit talents, ensuring that the supply side and demand side have a "zero distance" connection.
“You see, there are many projects on the display board behind me that have already been effectively carried out in Jiangsu. These are very promising projects formed by our cooperation with some high-tech enterprises in Jiangsu and the combination of advanced technology from both parties”, Ma Yiliang, Executive Partner of Israeli-BDO Company, said.
“They have a very good match with our industry, and we will conduct in-depth cooperation around Yancheng's new energy projects such as wind power”, Zhang Lei, General Manager of Huarui High tech Achievement Transformation (Yancheng) Co., Ltd., said.
Jiangsu signed 30 iconic major scientific and technological cooperation projects with a total investment of 20.6 billion yuan. 27 national first-class universities and institutions will work together with 20 Jiangsu-based enterprises to launch technological breakthroughs in 30 key industrial areas of our province, such as quantum communication, artificial intelligence, and hydrogen fuel cells.
“Today we signed a contract with the Jiangsu Provincial Productivity Promotion Center. There are many application scenarios in Jiangsu, and if we can invest in Jiangsu the applications of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, including biomedical, new energy, and environmental protection, we can promote the transformation of more research results”, Zhao Ruheng, Vice President of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, said.
“We have signed a contract with Professor Yao Jianyong's team at Nanjing University of Technology, with a total investment of over 100 million yuan for the project”, Li Dongming, Assistant to the President of Jiangsu Hengli Hydraulic Co., Ltd., said.
