The National High End Textile Advanced Manufacturing Industry Cluster Innovation and Development Conference opened on Wednesday in Shengze Town, Suzhou, to further promote the construction of the National High end Textile Advanced Manufacturing Industry Cluster.
The opening ceremony witnessed the appointment of the chief expert of Jiangsu Province's high-end textile cluster, the expert committee of the chemical fiber industry chain, and the award of national level little giant enterprises.
The Jiangsu Textile Expo was held on the sidelines of the conference. New fabrics empowered by new technologies became a window for the release of popular fabric trends in China. Two innovative fiber fabrics launched by a company in Shengze this year are characterized by light absorption, heat generation, and blooming when exposed to cold. They are widely used in clothing such as down jackets and are very popular in countries such as Russia.
“When we explore the European and American markets, we will make our fabrics more suitable for the needs of European and American brands. From just a few hundred thousand US dollars in export sales over a decade ago, we have now recorded over 20 million US dollars”, Xu Derong, President of Shengze Weaving Brand Promotion Association, said.
Suzhou is promoting the fashion, branding, digitization, high-end, and green development of its textile and clothing industry by seizing the opportunity of selecting high-end textiles as a national advanced manufacturing cluster. The city is expected to record 300 billion yuan in its textile and clothing industry output value by 2025.
